Invisible Cities
Researchers recently found more than 60,000 Maya ruins hidden in the Guatemalan jungle by using laser technology. This discovery uncovered long hidden palaces, houses, and highways. The incredible find, according to researchers, is the biggest one in over 150 years of modern Maya archeology. Read on to find out more about ancient civilizations whose hidden cities have disappeared into oblivion as modern life continues, sometimes directly on top of the ruins these civilizations left behind.

It's TRUE! Upcoming Webinars:
The Maya Empire, centered in the jungles of Guatemala, reached its height of power about the 6th century A.D. There were more than 40 Maya cities connected by elevated highways and roads with sophisticated culture, agriculture, and architecture. The cities were mostly abandoned around A.D. 900 and researchers are unsure what caused the fall of the civilization.
