October 29, 2014, marks the 2nd anniversary of Superstorm Sandy hitting the United States along the East Coast. Sandy was the largest Atlantic hurricane on record, with unprecedented reach and destruction.

Encourage your students to explore the TrueFlix unit The Superstorm: Hurricane Sandy found within the Extreme Nature section. There are several resources to help students understand the importance and magnitude of the storm. Begin by watching the video to show the reach and level of devastation the storm had on the eastern coastal states.
